About Alex Clare
Alex Clare is a platinum-selling British singer-songwriter and soulful performer, best known for his global hit “Too Close” (Top 10 in the UK and US, multi-platinum). He blends deep soul, alternative rock and electronic influences.
Raised in a secular Jewish home in London, Alex returned to his roots and embraced Orthodox Judaism (Chabad). His faith is central to his life and music: he does not perform or travel on Shabbat or Jewish holidays, and his recent work, including the album Rebuild Again with Thank You Hashem, explores Jewish themes, resilience and spiritual connection.
Alex brings warmth and powerful live energy to kumzitzes, Shabbatons, community concerts and special events, sharing his journey and performing his classic hits alongside newer Jewish-inspired material.
